Another man has been charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Maidstone last month, which left a victim with a serious hand injury.
The incident occurred around 9am on Friday, March 21, 2025, at a property near the A20 Ashford Road. It is alleged that two men, one reportedly impersonating a delivery driver, threatened the residents. During the incident, one of the occupants was allegedly attacked with a knife, and a sum of money was stolen.
Police and paramedics attended the scene, and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Following the incident, a 22-year-old man from the Mitcham area of Surrey was arrested on Monday, April 7. He has since been charged with aggravated burglary, wounding with intent, and possessing a bladed article in a public place. He was remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 9.
Previously, a 36-year-old man from the Maidstone area was detained on Friday, March 28, in connection with the same incident. He has been charged with robbery and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, March 29, where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court scheduled for Friday, April 25.
