Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious assault that occurred in Hythe late last month. The incident reportedly took place at approximately 7:20 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Malthouse Hill area, close to the High Street.
According to reports, the victim, a man in his forties, was punched after a verbal altercation with another man who was walking two dogs. As a result of the assault, the victim sustained a head injury and required treatment in hospital.
Kent Police have confirmed that a 27-year-old man from Hythe was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. He has since been released on bail while further enquiries are conducted. Investigating officers are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the assault to come forward. They are also keen to hear from individuals who may have private CCTV footage or dashcam recordings taken in the Malthouse Hill area around the time of the incident.
