Kent Police was called at 10.41pm on Friday 28 March to a report of an injured person in Harbour Street, Ramsgate.

Officers arrived and paramedics treated a man in his 60s for a head injury before he was taken to a London hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. Further enquiries at the scene suggested the man had been assaulted and officers later arrested a man in relation to the incident.

A 34-year-old man from Ramsgate, has since been charged with unlawful wounding. The 34 year old remains in custody and is due to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday 31 March.
