A large quantity of cocaine, amounting to 50 bags, has been seized by police following a foot chase and subsequent hotel room search in Tunbridge Wells.
The operation unfolded on Monday, March 17, 2025, when proactive patrols, driving along Grove Hill Road, saw suspicious goings on in a nearby alleyway. Officers watched what they believed to be a drug exchange and gave chase to a suspect, who was held after a brief pursuit.
Initial searches yielded several bags of cocaine, and the suspect was taken into custody. A key card, recovered during the arrest, led police to a hotel room on London Road, where a further significant quantity of narcotics was discovered.
A 24-year-old man, of no fixed address, has since been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply. He appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 19, and was remanded in custody. The case is now set to be heard at Maidstone Crown Court on April 22.
