A man has been charged following a violent assault and robbery in Dartford, authorities have confirmed.
Police were alerted to the incident at approximately 5:45 AM on Sunday, March 9, 2025, after reports of a man suffering injuries consistent with stab wounds. Off-duty officers discovered a casualty on Cotton Lane. The victim reported being attacked after his passenger made demands while they were travelling in a van. The assailant allegedly fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, also taking his mobile phone.
The victim was taken to a London hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Following an investigation, a man was apprehended in the James Road area of Sevenoaks on Tuesday, March 11. Subsequently, a 26-year-old man from Rochester was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery, and possession of a bladed article. He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 13, and was remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, April 14.
A woman, arrested in Sundridge, Sevenoaks, on suspicion of assisting an offender, was released on bail pending further inquiries.
