A significant blow has been dealt to organized vehicle theft operations following a pre-dawn raid on an industrial unit in the Isle of Sheppey. Kent Police, executing a search warrant at 7 AM on Friday, February 28, 2025, uncovered a large-scale operation dismantling stolen vehicles.

The raid, conducted at a property on Rushenden Road, Queenborough, resulted in the apprehending of two individuals. Inside the unit, officers discovered a suspected stolen Mercedes Sprinter van, alongside a cache of car parts believed to originate from eleven vehicles stolen in the London area over the past two years.

The recovered components are linked to a series of thefts targeting high-value vehicles, including Land Rovers, Range Rovers, and Kias, spanning from January 2023 to February 2025.

Following the operation, two individuals, of no fixed address, were charged with handling stolen property. They appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, March 1, and were subsequently remanded in custody. They are scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on March 28.
