Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious assault that occurred in Sittingbourne late Wednesday night.  

Officers responded to reports of an injured man near Rectory Road shortly after midnight on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Upon arrival, they found a male in his late teens suffering from injuries consistent with a stab wound.  

The victim received immediate treatment at the scene from officers and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to a London hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.  

Later Thursday morning, a 19-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. She is currently in police custody.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who has dashcam footage from the Rectory Road area around the time of the incident to come forward.

A police spokesperson stated:

“We are keen to piece together the events of this serious assault.”

“Any information, no matter how small, could be crucial to our investigation.”
