The battle against climate change just got a massive power-up! Folkestone & Hythe is unleashing a quarter of a million pounds to fuel your eco-warrior dreams! Forget whispers – this is a full-blown GREEN GRANT BLITZ!

Are you a community crusader? A school superhero? A business boss with a planet-saving plan? Then LISTEN UP! This is your chance to snag up to £20,000 and turn your groundbreaking green projects into reality.

There are projects that will:

  • SUPERCHARGE climate resilience!
  • SLASH carbon footprints like a ninja!
  • REJUVENATE green spaces into vibrant ecosystems!
  • BOOST local wildlife to legendary status!

Four grant categories, ranging from £1,000 to a jaw-dropping £20,000, are up for grabs! But time is ticking! The deadline for your eco-masterpiece application is April 21st, 2025!

  • Applications can be made through the Folkestone Works website where there is more information about the categories and examples of the type of projects that may be eligible for funding.
  • On Tuesday 11 March at 7pm there will be an online session to help potential applicants who have questions about the scheme. This can be joined via Zoom. There is no need to book a place and, if required, the meeting ID is 876 6273 4963 and passcode 360625.
  • On Tuesday 1 April from 6pm there will be an in-person forum at The Workshop in Tontine Street, Folkestone.

Cllr Stephen Scoffham, the mastermind behind this green initiative, declared:

 “We know there are already organisations very keen to get involved in this £250,000 scheme and I am delighted we’re now ready to go.

“Events have been organised for anyone who is interested to ask questions, and I very much hope we will soon be receiving applications for a wide range of innovative projects which will all help protect the environment in different ways.”
