A suspected drug dealer has been charged following an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs across Medway and East Sussex. Detectives from Kent Police identified phone numbers believed to be linked to the distribution of drugs in the Medway Towns and Hastings between November 2024 and January 2025.
Following inquiries, officers attended an address in St Leonards-on-Sea on Thursday, January 23, where a man was arrested. It was reported that an officer was assaulted during the arrest. A search of the property resulted in the seizure of multiple wraps, believed to contain crack cocaine, as well as two mobile phones.
A 25-year-old from the Brixton area of London was subsequently charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, and assault on an emergency worker. He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 24, and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, February 21.
