Detectives have arrested and charged a suspect following a series of burglaries and fraudulent transactions in Dartford.
On January 1, 2025, a resident in Attlee Drive reported a failed burglary attempt where an intruder was thwarted by a security chain. Later that day, a property in Bridges Drive was successfully broken into, with jewellery and bank cards stolen. Subsequently, the stolen cards were allegedly used to make unauthorized purchases at local stores.
Through diligent investigation, including the analysis of CCTV footage, detectives identified and apprehended a suspect on January 6th. A 31-year-old Dartford resident was subsequently charged with burglary, attempted burglary, and three counts of fraud.
A man appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on January 7th and was remanded in custody. A further hearing is scheduled for February 4th at Woolwich Crown Court.
