Sheerness police have made two arrests and filed multiple charges related to recent shoplifting incidents in the town.

Between December 27th and January 8th, thefts were reported from three High Street stores, including confectionery and laundry products. One man was arrested and charged with three thefts, breaching a restraining order, and failing a drug test.

In a separate investigation, a suspect was arrested on December 9th for thefts from Iceland and the Co-op. This individual was also charged with a cycle theft in Sittingbourne.

Chief Inspector Vanessa Foster emphasized the strong relationship between local officers and businesses and reiterated their commitment to protecting businesses from crime.
