Retired armed forces personnel in Dartford are set to enjoy a complimentary Christmas meal, thanks to the generous donation of £1,000 from Kent Police.

On Saturday, November 9th, Inspector Lee Cheesman and Community Liaison Officer Karen Sandland presented a cheque to representatives of the Dartford Veterans’ Breakfast Club. This kind gesture will directly benefit 100 veterans living in the west and north of the county, who regularly gather at The Bull public house in Dartford.

The donation from Kent Police perfectly complements a similar contribution from a club member, ensuring that all 100 veterans will have a fully-funded festive meal.

Inspector Lee Cheesman said:

“These veterans dedicated their lives to serving our country, and it’s an honour to express our gratitude in this small way,”

“They are an integral part of our community, and I was truly inspired by their stories. We also took the opportunity to offer support and advice to anyone who may have concerns about crime, anti-social behaviour, or other issues.”

This heart-warming act by Kent Police underscores the force’s commitment to supporting the community, particularly those who have served our nation.
