A suspect has been swiftly tracked down and arrested after patrols were called to suspicious activity in Rochester.
At around 3am on Tuesday 15 October 2024, officers were alerted to a report of men trying car door handles near the High Street.
Constables who were on patrol in the area rushed to the scene within minutes and began searching the area. A suspect was subsequently located and arrested. Officers also seized a cycle, bolt croppers and some gloves.
A 21-year-old man from Rochester, was later charged with going equipped to steal.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 16 October.
