Smart Car driver dies in three-vehicle crash on M20 near Swanley

A man in his 20s has died following a collision on the M20 near Swanley, Kent, on Wednesday morning, October 16th, 2024.

The incident, involving a dark blue Smart car, a blue Vauxhall Mokka, and a BMW 5-Series estate, occurred at approximately 6:15 am on the coastbound carriageway near Junction 1.

The driver of the Smart car was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed his next of kin have been informed.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is appealing for witnesses to the crash or anyone who saw the vehicles involved prior to the incident.

Officers are particularly interested in dashcam footage that may have captured the collision.
