Kent Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery attempt that occurred early Saturday morning in Canterbury.

A man was walking along Stour Street around 1:30 AM when he was approached by another man who attempted to steal his phone. A struggle ensued, resulting in the victim sustaining injuries to his head and arm.

The incident took place near the junction with Hospital Lane.

Detectives are now investigating the matter and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can contact Kent Police at 01843 222289 or report information anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555111.
