Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car on fire on the M20 between Junction 8 and 9 eastbound, near Ashford.
Two fire engines arrived just after 2.00pm on Saturday 12 October and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, extinguished the flames.
There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
