A sixth person has been charged as part of a Kent Police investigation into a drugs network thought to have been operating in the east of the county.

Officers arrested a man in St Margaret’s at Cliffe near Dover on the morning of Wednesday 9 October 2024, after detectives from the force identified a mobile phone number suspected to be linked to drug dealing.

It was alleged that the phone number had been used to contact known drug users in the Dover district between April and October 2024.

On Thursday 10 October, a man from Dover was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine. The 33-year-old, appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court later that day and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court at a later date.

Previously, three men were charged with conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine after police entered and searched locations in Dover, Deal, Ramsgate, Chartham and Dymchurch on Thursday 12 September. They are due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 14 October.

A 17 year old boy from Dover, charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug, was remanded to appear before Medway Youth Court on Friday 18 October.

A second 17 year old boy, also from Dover, and charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, will also appear at Medway Youth Court on the same day.
