Cocker Spaniel rescued from rising tide in Medway estuary

On Sunday, 6 October, Clara the cocker spaniel was rescued by the Sheerness inshore lifeboat crew after becoming trapped by the incoming tide on Copperhouse Marsh.

The UK Coastguard tasked the lifeboat crew to retrieve Clara, who was stranded and distressed.

With guidance from the Medway Coastguard Rescue Team and Clara’s owner, two crew members coaxed her to safety and returned her to her grateful owner at Gillingham Marina.
