Coastal bathing water quality and the district’s potential risk of inland flooding will both be on the agenda at a meeting of Folkestone & Hythe District Council next week.

Southern Water, the Environment Agency, Kent County Council, and the Romney Marsh Area of the Inland Drainage Board are due to be represented at the Overview & Scrutiny Committee meeting on Tuesday, 24 September 2024.

The committee has invited the agencies as part of its role “to scrutinise the work and decisions of the partnerships that the council is involved in.”

Members of the public can attend the meeting at 6pm in the council chamber but cannot ask questions during the meeting. The committee meeting is also live webcast.

Prior to the meeting, questions can be raised through a committee member. You can find which councillors are members of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee on the council website.
