A tranquil morning in Charing, near Ashford, was shattered by a devastating explosion at a bungalow on Canterbury Road.

Kent Fire and Rescue Services rushed to the scene just before midday today 19 September, finding the property in ruins and a woman injured. She was swiftly airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London.
