An 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a violent assault in Maidstone.

Kent Police was called shortly before 3am on Sunday 1 September 2024, to a disturbance at a property in Fairmeadow. Officers attended together with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds. He remains there in a serious but stable condition.

Three people were arrested and an investigation is continuing. The 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 3 September.

A 37-year-old man has been released on bail, pending further enquiries, and a 20-year-old woman was released with no further action.
