A shoplifter who targeted a Swanley store three times in one day has been convicted within 24 hours of her arrest.

Proactive patrols refuelling a police car at the Asda garage on Swanley High Street on Sunday 25 August 2024 were alerted to allegations of shoplifting from the forecourt shop. The officers carried out a swift area search and were able to arrested a woman riding a bicycle on Kingswood Road in connection with the offences.

Samantha Parsons, of no fixed address, has since been charged with three counts of theft and the 50-year-old pleaded guilty before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday 26 August. She has been released on conditional bail pending a further hearing at the same court on Friday 25 October.
