Fire engines from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called in after reports of grass land alight on Wear Bay Road, Folkestone at around 7:00pm today, 21 August.

Three fire engines as well as a bulk water carrier attended the blaze and crews used beaters and wildfire equipment to extinguish the flames before dampening down the area.

There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
