Drugs were seized by town beat officers from the Thanet Community Safety Unit on the evening of Thursday 11 July 2024 when they arrested a man in Ramsgate during a foot patrol in Archway Road after spotting him riding an e-scooter.
As they approached to speak to him, he dropped the e-scooter and ran off. Officers gave chase, stopping him a short time later.
A subsequent search was carried out and officers found a number of wraps of suspected crack cocaine. They also seized a mobile phone and cash.
A 48-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply. He currently remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
