A man from Westgate-on-Sea has been charged following a report that a victim had been threatened before a mobile phone and tablet were taken from a property in Ramsgate.

Kent Police was called to an address in Boundary Road shortly after 3am on Sunday 7 July 2024, when it was reported a man had been threatened before electronic items were taken from the property.

An investigation led to officers making an arrest on Tuesday 9 July, during which a search recovered a knuckleduster and a bag containing a white substance, suspected to be amphetamine.

Later that day, a man from Westgate-on-Sea, was charged with robbery, possession of a class B drug and possession of a knuckleduster. The 34-year-old, was remanded in custody to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 10 July.
