Between 3 June and 21 June 2024, a man reported he had been repeatedly robbed of cash, bank cards and tobacco to the value of almost £1,000.

On 21 June, two other men alleged they had been assaulted in Calverley Grounds with one suffering multiple cuts to his head, and the second also suffering damage to his teeth, after both were struck by bottles. A further victim also reported he had been robbed of cash on the same date.

Four teenagers were arrested on 4 July in connection with the incidents and appeared in court following a spate of robberies and assaults in Tunbridge Wells. All four were later charged with two counts of wounding with intent.

Two were also charged with three counts of robbery and an attempted robbery, while one was further charged with two robberies.

They were remanded in custody, pending a court hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 5 July 2024.
