‘Grab and go’ man charged for allegedly eating food and drink worth £95 in Deal restaurant without paying

Kent Police was called to a restaurant on Beach Street on Monday 17 June 2024 after it was reported that a man had consumed food and drink to the value of £95 and did not pay.

Officers arrived and a man was arrested on suspicion of theft.

Following an investigation by Dover’s Victim Based Crime Team, a man aged 43, of no fixed address, was charged with theft on Tuesday 18 June. He was remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 19 June.
