Kent Police received a report that at around 11.30pm on Monday 13 May 2024, tools valued at more than £1,000 were stolen from a house that was under renovation in Westgate Grove.

An investigation was completed by detectives from East Division CID, including the examination of CCTV footage in the area.

On Friday 24 May, a man was arrested and taken into custody. The 56-year-old of no fixed address, was later charged with burglary and was remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 25 May.
