A suspected drug dealer has been charged after proactive officers on patrol in New House Lane stopped a suspicious black Volvo in Gravesend at around 11.13pm on Tuesday 30 April 2024.

They followed the vehicle to South Hill Road where it came to a stop and a search was carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act. The officers seized 28 bags of cocaine along with cannabis, cash and two mobile phones and arrested a man.

On the following day a man from Essex was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possessing criminal property (namely the seized cash).

The 32-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 2 May.
