An investigation by Kent Police officers from the Thanet Victim Based Crime Team which focused on reports of thefts from vehicles in Ramsgate and Broadstairs between 24 February and 7 April 2024 has resulted in officers charging a man.

Vehicle owners reported that items including wallets, bank cards and sunglasses had gone missing.

A Ramsgate man was charged on Monday 8 April with five counts of theft and a further four counts of vehicle interference.

The 30-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 9 April.
