A CCTV image has been released by police in Medway investigating a hate crime in Rochester. Investigators want to talk to the woman in the image following an incident in Knights Templar Way in which it is reported the victim was racially abused by a woman before the suspect got into a car and drove away.

As the offender left the area the victim’s leg was in contact with the suspect’s car but she was not injured. The suspect also threw a drink at the victim’s car during the incident which took place at 7.55pm on 15 December 2023.
Following the incident officers carried out enquiries, including reviewing CCTV and liaising with other police forces. They are now in a position to release a CCTV image of the suspect.
