Witnesses are being asked to come forward following an assault in Deal where a man in his 60s was seriously injured.

The victim in his 60s was delivering a food order to a property on Saturday 10 February where he reports being pushed down more than a dozen concrete steps.

Kent Police officers attended the scene in Diana Gardens at around 7.20pm and arrested a man on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on bail until 11 May.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he remains after sustaining multiple injuries to his head and back.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident outside the property or has CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist with the investigation.
