Police stopped two cars suspected of being linked to drug dealing in the Willesborough area of Ashford on the evening of Friday 2 February 2024. It led to three people being charged after 14 kilos of suspected cocaine was seized in Ashford.

A man and two women were arrested and suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of around £700,000 and more than £10,000 in cash was seized.

Both cars were also seized as part of the ongoing investigation by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

A 27-year-old from Rushden, Northamptonshire, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

A 32 -year-old from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire and a 28-year-old from St Albans, Hertfordshire; have both been charged with possession with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of cocaine, and possession of criminal property.

All three appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 5 February and the case was adjourned to Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 4 March.
