A man has been arrested by officers investigating reports of indecent exposure in Hythe.

Kent Police was alerted on Thursday 11 January 2024 after a man allegedly indecently exposed himself to two women on Marine Parade.

It was further reported on Friday 12 January that a man had approached a woman on Ladies’ Walk in Hythe, exposing himself to her after attempting to make conversation.

A similar call was received later that day, when a man had reportedly been loitering in Ladies’ Walk before indecently exposing himself to a woman who was walking in the area.

Investigating officers carried out enquiries and police patrols were increased in Hythe.

On Thursday 18 January patrols were called to Princes Parade, following a call from a woman reporting that a man had exposed himself to her while she was out running. A swift response from officers resulted in a 39-year-old man being detained nearby. He was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and further arrested for possession of a class B drug.

The man was taken into custody and has been conditionally bailed while the investigation continues.
