It has been reported a woman was sexually assaulted in Tunbridge Wells as she walked along  Speldhurst Road, between Lady’s Gift Lane and Kibbles Lane, on 1 January 2024 between 1.10am and 1.30am.

A stranger had tried to engage with her and walked alongside her from Powder Mill Road until they reached the location of the offence where he then touched her inappropriately.

The suspect is described as white with an Irish accent, in his early 30s, slim, tall – approximately 5ft 11ins – with short dark hair and stubble. He was seen wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

Officers carrying out enquiries are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. They would like to hear from anyone who recognises the description of the man or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area.

Residents living nearby with doorbell cameras and other home security systems, as well as motorists with dashcam, are also urged to check for any footage which may assist the investigation.
