Cash and more than 120 class A drug deals have been seized by proactive officers in Rochester.

On Saturday 26 November 2023, constables were completing enquiries at an address near the High Street where they arrested a man and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and heroin. 

A second property in the same location was then searched and 125 deals of suspected cocaine and heroin were located along with some cash.

At a third address, officers seized around £1,100. Two further suspects were also detained and an investigation was commenced by detectives from Medway CID.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, from Rochester, were later charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of criminal property (namely the seized cash). The 19-year-old was also charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.

A 20-year-old man. also from Rochester was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of heroin with intent to supply.

The men aged 19 and 18, both appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 27 November where they were conditionally bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 2 January 2024.

The man aged 20, was bailed by the police to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 25 January 2024.
