A woman has been charged with seven offences linked to an investigation into shoplifting in Folkestone.
Officers from Folkestone and Hythe’s Victim Based Crime Team arrested and charged a 28-year-old woman, of no fixed abode, with five counts of shoplifting from supermarkets between Wednesday 27 September 2023 and Sunday 26 November.
She was further charged with a public order offence and with assaulting an officer by spitting in relation to a disturbance on Monday 27 November in Earls Avenue.
She was remanded in custody to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 November.
