A woman has been charged with multiple offences following an investigation into disturbances in Dover town centre.

The town’s Victim Based Crime Team carried out enquiries into reports of shop staff being verbally abused and assaulted in St James Retail Park on Thursday 7 September and Tuesday 19 September 2023.

A 38-year-old woman from Snargate Street has been charged with:

  • Committing assault and racially aggravated harassment on Thursday 7 September.
  • Four counts of assault and one count of racially aggravated harassment on Tuesday 19 September.
  • Racially aggravated harassment against a police officer during her arrest on Tuesday 26 September.

She is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 27 September.

The police are urging anyone with information about these incidents to contact them.
