A burglar has pleaded guilty to a Sevenoaks break-in soon after his arrest upon arriving at a United Kingdom airport.

Between 26 March and 15 April 2023, a home in Wildernesse Avenue was targeted while the occupants were away and a quantity of jewellery was reported stolen on their return home.

An investigation was commenced by the Kent Crime Squad and a forensic examination at the scene recovered some DNA. On Monday 11 September, a man was arrested as he arrived at Stansted Airport and taken into custody.

Nickolin Licaj, of no fixed address, was charged on Wednesday 13 September with one count of burglary.

The 44-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on the following day where he pleaded guilty to the indictment. He was remanded to be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
