Ashford Borough Council is inviting the public to share their opinions on a possible move from the Civic Centre to International House.
The council says the relocation could save money and improve efficiency, but it wants to hear from the people who use the Civic Centre regularly.
The consultation is open until 18 September, and anyone can participate online by visiting here.
The council will also seek feedback from its staff, members, and tenants of the Civic Centre, which houses various services and facilities such as the library, the museum, and the registry office.
Earlier this year that it announced it was considering moving to International House, a council-owned building that has enough space to accommodate its operations. The council claims that the Civic Centre requires significant maintenance and repair costs in the near future, and that moving to International House would reduce its expenditure and environmental impact.
It says it’s committed to providing high-quality services to the residents of Ashford, and that it wants to make an informed decision based on the views of all stakeholders. It encourages everyone who uses the Civic Centre to take part in the consultation and have their say on the potential relocation plan.
