The countdown is on for the 2023 Folkestone Air Display, the most amazing and awe-inspiring event of the year!

Next Sunday (20 August), you will have the chance to witness the best of British aviation, from the legendary RAF Red Arrows, who will dazzle you with their breathtaking and colourful stunts, to the mighty RAF Typhoon, who will show you what speed, power and agility really mean. The Typhoon’s appearance is thanks to the generous support of Abbeywell Vets in Folkestone.

You will also enjoy the historic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the graceful Stampe display team, and the agile Pitts Special. It will be a day to remember for the whole family!

The Leas and Folkestone Harbour are the perfect places to watch this spectacular show, which will start at 1.25pm and end at 5pm. Here is the full timetable:

1.25pm: Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

2.20pm: RAF Red Arrows

3.15pm: Stampe display team

4.10pm: Pitts Special

5pm: RAF Typhoon

To make your day hassle-free, it’s advised to use public transport if possible. There are no railway strikes planned for Sunday 20 August.

If you prefer to drive, you can park at Radnor Park (CT19 5AU) or Folkestone School for Girls (CT20 3RB) for only £5. Both car parks will be open from 10am to 6.30pm and accept cash only.

Our stewards will be working hard to keep the traffic flowing smoothly and minimise disruption to local roads. Please note that some roads will be closed and some parking bays will be suspended.

Folkestone Festivals has also prepared a lot of fun activities for you along The Leas on both Saturday and Sunday.

You can enjoy food, arts and craft stalls, dance displays, live music and a classic car show.

There will also be extra toilets available in the area.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the thrill of flying and celebrate Folkestone’s aviation heritage!
