The Port of Dover greeted a special guest this week, as the Coral Princess docked in Dover for the first time in history.
The cruise ship, which can carry up to 2,000 passengers, is on its way to New York for a 55-night around-the-world cruise, part of a 107-day round trip world cruise from Auckland in New Zealand.
Dover is an ideal port for cruise guests who want to explore the British Isles and UK coast, as it offers stunning views, excellent service and amazing heritage. Dover is the gateway to Britain and the doorstep of the Garden of England, where you can discover beautiful landscapes, ancient castles and charming villages.
The Coral Princess will depart from Dover and sail across the Atlantic Ocean to New York, where it begins its world cruise which will take passengers to 27 countries and 43 ports, including Panama, Peru, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, India, Egypt, Greece and Italy.
The Coral Princess is one of the many cruise ships that choose Dover as their port of call every year. Dover is one of the most popular cruise ports in Europe, with over 200 cruise calls and 400,000 cruise guests annually.

Passengers were treated to exclusive entertainment in the cruise terminal, with a local storyteller giving a fun and interactive behind-the-scenes account of Dover’s history and heritage throughout the day.
