Police are seeking witnesses to a robbery that occurred in Margate on Tuesday night, which led to a car crash and public involvement.

According to the report, a man snatched a bag from a car parked in Station Road around 9.30pm. The car driver tried to flee the scene and hit several other cars in the process. Some bystanders intervened and managed to retrieve the bag from the robber.

The robber then escaped in a silver Mercedes, which was driven by another person. The police are asking anyone who saw the incident or has any information to contact them.

The suspect is described as Eastern European, around 5ft 2ins tall, with short greying hair. He was wearing a denim jacket and brown trousers. He is thought to have sustained an ankle injury during the incident.
