It was reported that at around 9.40pm on Friday 21 July 2023, a bronze-coloured Honda Civic car was travelling down Northumberland Avenue in Cliftonville when it was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries which resulted in the man being taken to a London Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Arrest made 

A 38-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs. He was released on bail pending further enquiries.

Investigating officers would like to thank all those who have spoken to officers already, and are appealing for anyone who assisted at the scene and has yet to speak to police to come forward.
