Kent Police are appealing for information after reports of a series of break-ins at beach huts in Broadstairs.

The incidents were reported on Saturday, July 8, 2023, after it was discovered that several beach huts in the Viking Bay area had been targeted overnight between Friday, July 7, and Saturday, July 8.

An ongoing investigation is underway, and the police are urging anyone who may have information or possess CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist in the inquiry to contact Kent Police at 01843 222289, quoting reference number 46/122226/23.

If preferred, individuals can provide anonymous information by calling Crimestoppers at 0800 555111 or submitting information through their online form.

Beach hut owners in the area are advised not to store high-value items in their huts overnight and should ensure that the huts are securely locked.

Owners whose beach huts have been affected by these break-ins and have yet to speak to the police are strongly encouraged to report the incident via the Kent Police website.
