Witnesses are sought after a man was reportedly bitten by a dog in Chatham.

The victim was walking in a clearing through a meadow off Capstone Road, Chatham, at around 2pm on Friday 16 June 2023 when a dog is alleged to have approached him and bit him on his forearm.

Injuries required hospital treatment

The man was left with deep arm injuries which required hospital treatment.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses who may recognise the description of the dog walker and the animal.

The person walking the dog is described as white, medium build, in his late 20s and approximately five feet seven to five feet nine inches. He was wearing a grey flat capped hat and black trousers.

The dog was being walked on a long lead and is described as a sandy/golden coloured Pitbull type.
