Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a crash involving a car and a skip lorry in Dungeness Road, Dungeness shortly before 3.00pm today, 8 June.

Three fire engines attended, and crews used battery-powered equipment to remove the door of the car and release one person, who was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.

The road was closed for about an hour while the incident was dealt with.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
