Kent Police received a report that a man had been assaulted in the High Street at around 3.20pm on Monday 29 May 2023.
After enquiries, a man aged 34, from Bobbing. near Sittingbourne, was charged with grievous bodily harm without intent.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 1 June where he was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 9 June.
