At around 6pm on Saturday 27 May 2023, a woman in her 70s was walking towards the front door of a house in Northdown Park Road, when it was reported a man grabbed her bag from behind and pulled the victim to the ground, before running off towards Dane Park.
The suspect is described as being white, around 25 years old, of slim build and with short, strawberry-blond hair. His clothing included a white t-shirt.
Detective Constable Rebecca Keeler, of East Kent CID, said: ‘This was a very upsetting incident for a vulnerable victim and an investigation is underway to identify the suspect.
‘We are urging witnesses or anybody with information to call our appeal line.
Drivers with dashcam are also asked to check for relevant footage.’
