A suspected thief has been arrested and charged within 24 hours of a burglary being reported to Kent Police.

Officers were called to a pharmacy in Station Road, Tenterden, following a report it had been broken into at around 5am on Tuesday 24 January 2023.

A quantity of medication was reported stolen.

Working with CCTV operators, officers quickly carried out enquiries in the area, resulting in the arrest of a man by 5.30am. 

A 24-year-old man from Tenterden, was charged with burglary on the same day.

He was bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 22 February.
